Daniele is crazy about photography at the moment, and he really has a good eye for it as well. The other day he showed me the following site http://www.lomography.com/ is about people nuts about old Russian cameras that are now being reproduced and improved.

So surfing that site I found the following camera http://shop.lomography.com/colorsplashcamera/ I think it is really cool and am thinking of asking it for my birthday which is still very far away…..:(.

I finished the book i was talking about a few days back. I actually understood the whole story and liked it alot.

My mother on law already gave me a new book to read, “The Anger of Aubergines” from Bulbul Sharma. Wich is a mix between a cooking book and a novel, two of my favorite things, cooking and reading,mixed in one book intresting

Lyrics City to City

It is carnival at the moment and coming from the north of Holland I do not have a lot of feeling with it. The last time I dressed up was when i was 11. But yesterday we went to a carnival party organized by a group of people from flickr. I was a bit worried about the dressing up part and a bit nervous as well not knowing any of these people, but i have to admit i had a very good time and actually managed to talk a bit about something else then the weather and kids.

The party was kept in a restaurant that is part of a castle in Sambuci, so a nice atmosphere and good food always help to make a party go.  The kids have been running around till midnight, Joshua charmed a 12 year old girl very much i think, because she kept searching him and he kept searching her….and me and Daniele kept cracking up laughing.

Here you will find the pictures . And I got the feeling this will not be my last carnival party, only next time i prepare a better costume in advance.

I am very sleepy today, it is 2 nights now that i go to sleep and for my feeling open my eyes 5 minutes later, but it actually is 7 hours later. I do not feel like i have slept at all. wake up thinking about the same things as i did before actually falling asleep…….

Recently i discovered the libary close to where we live. Now did i misunderstood and thought that lettura inglese meant english books, but it actually meant english books translated in italian. So i have to give in if i want to keep reading i need to learn to read in italian. So i borrowed Kingdom of the Golden Dragon from Isabel Allende. And to my own suprise i am managing to read that and actually understanding the story and liking it.

This morning my husband suprised me with a nice card . And for me it is the thought that counts. I do like tha idea of a day where u can tell the person you love that you love them, but i do not like the commercialism around it. The amounts of money involved and nearly making u feel bad that you do not spend that money on something stupid.

For me the best gift is still that i wake up next to my husband almost every morning and that i fall asleep next to him at night. And that feeling you can not buy with all the money in the world.

Today I had to pick up Joshua early from school, because he was not feeling well. When i arrive the teacher approaches me that he did not do his homework and she wants him to redo it today. Ok is fine.

But my problem is that they should write down what schould be done properly in the dairy and that the teacher should check that. 
Becuase he had written page 62 and the name of the book. Now is the problem that the name of the book is the name of the serie, so he has 5 books with the same name the only difference is  they are numbered one till five, and have different colours.

So he did the wrong page 62…..

Then he also had to do something with verbs. The last weeks he had to study them by heart, so that is what he had done…no this time it had to be written down…..

I am really sorry but i can not read minds yet, but it might be a good thing if i would develop that gift……

You have these moments in live that feel like turning points. For me is one going on now, getting a new sense of understanding, growth maybe. The last couple of months i have been struggeling a bit with myself not knowing where to go and what do next. Now both my kids are gone to school.

And now slowly I am becomming myself again, maybe it is because of the homeopatic medecins, the not milk diet dont know. I do know that I am feeling better then i have done in months. I finally put adds up to give english lessons i made myself this site. I am enjoying studing again. I feel good and am slowly figuring out what I am going to do next in live. But whatever it is it is going to be good. 

I hate localized websites, especially when I need to do something. In fact it is one of the reasons I am changing my site to here. I would at least like to have a choice to change the language without to much hasstle.

For example my blog at Live spaces it automatically shows all in Italian, the only way to change the layout in English is to log in from a live site that is already in English. But if I want to go from messenger to my site it goes in Italian and no way you can change it……or if someone knows how to please tell me because after a couple of hours searching I gave up.

I am afraid there is not much i can do against this, apart from not visiting those websites.
